The Grace Home Team
Making a Difference!
2024 Director’s Report
Budget and Fundraising: Our annual budget for Grace Home is $320,000, and tonight, we want to raise $125,000. Your generosity will allow us to continue providing each mom and baby with safe housing, essential support, education, nutritious meals, parenting instruction, diapers, and everything they need to flourish. It costs $135 a day to sustain this level of care for each family.

Staffing Developments: This year, we’ve made significant strides to meet the changing needs of our residents by expanding our House staff team. We now have dedicated daytime House Moms who are specially trained to respond to the unique needs of our residents. Nighttime House Managers have been added to ensure there is always someone available for support. Additionally, we’ve have added a couple of Weekend Relief Moms to provide consistent care over weekends. We are currently seeking a new Weekend House Mom to work one weekend each month—please help us spread the word!
Investing in Training: We believe in equipping our staff with the best tools and knowledge to serve our residents effectively. Some of this year’s training programs have included:
Navigating Poverty: Understanding the challenges our residents face
Safety Protocols: Ensuring a safe environment for all.
Making Sense of Your Worth: Helping moms recognize their intrinsic value.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI): Tools for trauma informed care.
Anchored Bible Study: Providing spiritual encouragement and growth.
Familyhood Conference: Strengthening and expanding our community resources and connections.
Eating Disorders and Substance Use Coping Tools: Empowering staff to respond with empathy and understanding.
These educational opportunities have enabled our staff to better guide and support the women and children in our care.
Celebrating Successes: We have seen encouraging stories of transformation this year, as we have ministered to moms and their babies as well as non-residential clients in the community. Different steps of growth have include healthy babies, GED classes, stable jobs, reconnection with their families, and continuing growth in their parenting abilities. Each story reminds us of the importance of your support and the work we do together.
Future Plans: Our vision remains steadfast—we are still working towards securing funding for transition duplexes to help moms move towards independence. This year, we faced some unexpected challenges with the local restrictions, but we are persistently working through those obstacles. We remain committed to creating a stable, safe environment where our residents can continue to grow.
Thank You and Ways to Get Involved: None of this would be possible without the dedication of our donors, volunteers, and partners. We deeply appreciate the support of our community. If you feel led, there are numerous ways to continue making a difference—whether through volunteering, donating needed items, or becoming a regular supporter. Together, we can help each mom and baby at Grace Home not just survive but thrive.
